Now in its 22nd year, the brilliant two-day festival will spread itself over four areas located in close proximity to the city centre.

Bede Park will host family activities including a fun fair, food stalls, arts & crafts, beer tent, acoustic music stage and interactive activities. The Piazza area is where you’ll find the large music stage that will feature brilliant live bands and music for everyone to enjoy.

Western Boulevard sees the return of the hugely popular street market with arts, crafts, delicious street food plus the Ride Leicester cycling area.

The River Soar & Mile Straight will host the colourful narrow boat rally, canoes, boat rides and demonstrations. You’ll also have the opportunity to view and buy unique work from local artists, painters and photographers at Art on The River.

Castle Gardens includes children’s activities with an eco-friendly focus and after last year’s success the return of the Broken Records Swing Festival. Learn popular swing dances such as the Lindy Hop, Charleston and Balboa all to the sounds of jazz, swing, blues and more.

With visitors numbering over 40,000 spread across two days in previous years, the event appeals to all age groups from across Leicester and Leicestershire. As well as the focus on the river, there is a general environmental theme to the festival. All we can say is– It’s a jam-packed weekend not to be missed!
