This last year has seen some exciting new developments at St Martins House and the business continues to enjoy new growth.
The end of 2018 saw the grand opening of St Martins Lodge. This attractive Georgian building overlooking Leicester Cathedral is home to 28 quality appointed bedrooms with breakfast and car parking provision included.
Lorraine Weedon, Lodge Manage said: “St Martins Lodge has experienced steady growth and is now the preferred location for many of the town’s business community. The weekend leisure market has proved even stronger with many guests taking the opportunity to stay in quality accommodation and enjoy the history, culture and shopping all on our doorstep.”
The introduction of breakfast for Lodge guests has seen increased opening hours for the White Rose Café. Now open from 7.30am Monday to Friday and from 8.00am at weekends, the café offers full English or continental options to guests and the public. A new increased lunch menu now compliments the cakes, jacket potatoes and sandwiches which have always been popular at this venue. August has seen the introduction of afternoon tea week offering full afternoon tea for 2 for £22.
Further menu additions planned through the year include, Sunday lunch carvery from October, lunchtime winter classics in November and Christmas lunch will be served on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during December. This welcoming space is also available for private functions after the café closes at 4.00pm.
St Martins House Conference Centre has also enjoyed new growth this year. The business has seen the introduction of Conference Centre Manager James Hayter and Catering Manager Sam Dimblebee. Together they have created new conference and wedding packages. The range of menus has increased and the new choice reflects the latest trends and dietary requirements, whilst making the most of local suppliers and seasonal produce.
The Grand Hall provides a unique entertaining space catering for up to 150 in comfort. Weddings, charity dinners, breakfast meetings, company seminars are just some of the many events catered for in the past year. Highlights included the awards evenings for the Quad Nations hosting the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Team and the Leicester Comedy Awards night. St Martins House is a great venue for Christmas Parties and there are still dates available for groups between 60 and 150.
