Wedding Guru Priti Raichura predicts the trends for 2021

The last year saw many weddings cancelled or changed to comply with COVID rules, it was a challenging year for many who were planning their big day. At Priti Raichura Events, we’re looking forward to seeing 2021 become a year of celebration.

Here are some of our predictions for what’s to come in the world of weddings…

Party big

As many couples had to cut down celebrations last year, we’re expecting many couples to opt for big celebrations once restrictions are lifted. That means big dresses, big venues and big guest lists!

Intimate celebrations

On the flip side, others are embracing the ‘micro-wedding’ or elopements that are much easier to plan and save money. This is a trend that is likely to continue for some time beyond the pandemic.

That’s entertainment!

After a gloomy year for most, we’re expecting to see even more extravagant entertainment at weddings this year! From pool parties to comedy acts, wedding parties will be catered to bring a smile to faces and put 2020 behind us.

Pastel tones

Delicate feel-good shades are set to dominate wedding themes this year. With favourites including peach, lilac, baby pink and lemon yellow.

Big dresses!

Continuing the theme of bigger is better, we’re expecting to see BIG wedding dresses this year. With satin as one of the more popular materials along with delicately embroidered silks.

Giving something back

Last year saw a big boom in charitable giving, from raising money for the NHS to funds to support the vulnerable through a tough time. Instead of wedding gifts, we expect to see more couples asking for charitable donations. At Priti Raichura Events, we are supporting ‘Always in Our Thoughts’, a campaign set up to commemorate those that lost loved ones during the pandemic.
